Location Based CMS – Augmented gaming/learning Platform
Collaborative Shared Workspace, to stimulate peer learning effects and generate user generated content based on “Digital Storytelling”
webapp based on gps location and compass that delivers content to for instance Layar

Describing the sort of content pages to be delivered on location (by placing these types of info on a layer – googlemashup) with markers that can contain these webpages. These webpages contain different kinds of content modules which can be dragged onto their exact within a web based Location CMS.

Every builded set of pages can be seen as a digital layer > enables you to quickly switch to another grid (layar)

Building of the webpages can be done through a webinterfaces and should preferable be constructed as a teamworkspace. An administrator can give any subscriber the possibility to edit, place and/or delete content. Clicking a marker will reveal a small editable page in the exact dimension of the mobile browser.

Editing of these pages will enable an admin to setup pages on location and attach content to them. Locations can also be used to attach certain action to them which are dependent on orientation and/or speed of the viewer.

Visual lay-out can be skinned through a simple library of css stylesheets that can be selected as a template

Teams can create share and play their layers through a simple personal database) page on which they can invite their friends to play a game….all very web2.0. Activities as recorded in the logs of every creator and/or player and are placed in a database as well. In learning how people will work you can learn how to innovate the offered features and rearrange the way information can be build with for instance graphic timelines that offer true multi media editing for digital storytelling. The results can be visualized through the website or can be delivered as data to a VLE (Virtual Learning Environment)

In a later version we could think of enhancing the reality with 3D objects.

Description of the contentmodules:

• note
can contain:
-text
-audio
-video
-3D content (FUTURE)

• task
-take a picture
-make a video

• question
-multiple choice (regular 4 choices)
-yes/no question
-open question (can also be used for delivering comments on location)
-rewardscheme for give good answers that are saved to the users profile

• credits/punishments
- collect gold (earn bonus points)
- lose points
- redirect to a different LAYAR (layer) when encountering an ACTIONmarker . “You’re bound to be imigrated to another Layar”

• hint
- provide users with possible clues
- leave hints for other users

• action
- interact with other users (think of gaming and game strategy)
- redirect to another layer based on ACTIONmarker

• locate/track other users
- show the users on the map and/or on which layer they are
- calculate distance based on user config

• message
- to other users
